First as news editor, then channel manager, I was a key member of the ITV Local Meridian team, which developed the online channel concept adopted by the rest of the ITV regions.
I enjoyed being involved in everything from video and CMS production, commercial content, analytics, writing and editing to planning and strategy.

I trained in news when I left school and started as a junior reporter for my local newspaper.
I soon developed a skill for feature writing, and in all my subsequent roles I have enjoyed writing on a broad range of topics.
